Troop 12 developed and maintains this website in order to:
   *  Keep our Scouts and Scouting families informed.
   *  Share our adventures and knowledge with family, friends and the Scouting community.
   *  To help bring in new Scouts to our Troop.
   *  Let our community know about our Troop, its activities, and objectives.
   *  Encourage community support for our Troop and projects. Scouting has much to offer
      our community's youth. Our Troop gives back to the community by developing more
      responsible citizens and through numerous service projects. 


The Troop's goals can best be summed up by a quote from Franklin D. Roosevelt, "We cannot always build the future for our youth, but we can build our youth for the future." Feel free to join us as we help develop skills in our Scouts that will benefit them throughout their lives.

Troop meetings are Monday evenings from 7:00pm - 8:30pm during the school year in the fellowship hall of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Batavia, IL. We have no regularly scheduled meetings during the summer.  You can contact our Troop Leaders using the Contact Us link in the left column of this website.  The troop does not meet when school is out of session for the summer.  Regular meetings in 2021 will end on May 24th and resume mid August.

BSA Troop 12 is chartered by the Immanuel Lutheran Church & School and is part of the Ottawa District in the Three Fires Council. Our Troop emphasizes a wide range of activities that appeal to both younger and older Scouts. Meeting Schedules

Hello Scouts and Parents,

Today, May 17th, will be our last regular meeting for the season.  Next week, May 24th, we will be having our end of season Court of Honor picnic.  Details of time and location will be sent via troop email.  May 31st is a holiday and there will not be a scout meeting.  So after our COH on the 24th there will be no regular weekly meetings until school resumes in August.  Sometime soon we will schedule a special meeting to discuss plans for summer camp.  Also the PLC will need to meet to establish the camping plans for the next program year starting in August.

Hello Troop 12 Parents!

Just a reminder that we will have an informational discussion and troop introduction for parents at the normal troop meeting place and time on Monday April 12th.  This is targeted to new scout parents, but all parents are encouraged to participate.
